About 10 minutes after I posted yesterday, I had a major PC failure (my home computer). Darn thing rebooted and I was presented with the most unattractive black screen which had an error that pretty much said….
“If you see this screen, you are majorly screwed. I hope to God that you backed up your files, because this is not going to turn out well”
I spent an hour or so on the phone with tech support, who said… either it’s the OS or the harddrive. Do you have your original CD’s handy?
Never a good sign.
And I appreciate they narrowed it down to those two choices. Because they had only three choices, and I was already pretty sure the motherboard wasn’t involved because…. well… then the PC would be…. oh……. totally DEAD.
So I am writing you from my laptop, but I hate to use my work pc for “personal” ventures. I’m pretty sure some dude in Corporate IT has flagged my excessive use of QVC.com, Williams-Sonoma, and Perez Hilton.
I’m waiting on a couple recovery CD’s today, and hope to revive my PC this week sometime. If it doesn’t work, well, I’ll be PC shopping by Friday.

This is hilarious to me because I literally only blog from my work laptop now. I say take advantage!
It’s moments like these that scare the crap out of me. Once XBoy turns six, we plan on burning all the pictures currently saved on the computer onto a CD. However, we’ve gambled how long that that wouldn’t happen. Knock on wood. XBoy turns six next Monday…
My computer desktop is the same way. We still have a Trogan Virus on our desktop PC. Our screen did the same thing. End of Jan we're going Computer shopping as well. I hope your computer is working better soon. Take care.
