You know, dust with your feather duster, your Swiffer, your old t-shirt…
do you dust your house?
Be HONEST. I really want to know.
Because I can’t think of anything I would choose to do less, than, say, iron (I hate ironing too).
My Mom dusts. Of course, she dusts less now that she doesn’t have to be a role model to my brother and I since we moved out from home long, long ago. She was never like the lady you used to see on those commercials that would run her finger down your baseboards. Heaven forbid. She was a casual duster.
I am the “only dust when I have to” duster. I just don’t think of it as important. I’d rather have clean clothes and a clean bathroom than worry about the inch of dust on top of my bureau.
Sure, I dust when I see it (and it looks bad). I dust the TV and computer stuff often actually because they are magnets for that black dust.
I dusted after I had my basement and office finished. I HAD to. That sheet rock dust was everywhere. I think I scrubbed every inch of the place.
But, dusting is not a priority for me. Never will be.
So, confess…… do you dust? How often? What is your tool of choice?
It’s okay if you make me feel bad. I can take it.
I dust about every two weeks, if it’s bad. We get a lot of cobwebs, so I suck them up with the vacuum, and dust with windex and a towel..ghetto!
Heee…. Not as often as I should! Basically, when I know people are coming over (and I don’t mean immediate family – I’m talking real guests!), I am moving something in the house, holidays. Other than that, if someone is offended, they can dust it themselves!
I only dust when it’s really bad or I’m in a cleaning mood. I really like the “dusting” cloths they have at Target–I’ve got a skinny reacher-type thing and a plush cloth–so when I do dust, I can just throw them in the washer. I just cleaned my daughters dresser with wood soap for the first time…..she just celebrated her SECOND birthday. I figure I’m good now til she’s four!
I hate to dust. I just use an old rag. My son emptied a whole bottle of baby powder out all over my room. It is an inch think all over my room. Now I HAVE to dust. Not looking forward to it either:)
I have horrible allergies too, made worse by dusting. I'm also allergic to garbage, mowing the lawn, dish detergent, laundry detergent, soap in general, the plastic in the mop handle and the filter in the vacuum isn't strong enough. Changing the sheets could end me up in the hospital. Don't get me started on windows!
I love the swiffer dusters. I use them all the time. Of course, I’m dusting a whole lot more than normal since we’re trying to sell the house. On most furniture I use a damp rag, sometimes Pledge & a rag, sometimes a baby wipe. Whatever’s handy at the time. For quick once-overs, I use the Swiffer dusters. And Emily loves to dust. Give her a Swiffer and let her loose.
troysmama- too funny….!
That reminds me, I need to find a little french maid outfit….
I used whatever I can find. Swifers are Okay.
I dust!! I'm a clean freak! Plus my son has bad allergies. I have a feather duster but I hate them so I just use a old rag and some wood cleaner.
ARMYWIFE IS A PERV! lol
ummm, dusting is NOT what I thought of when I saw that pic 🙂
Heck No I don’t dust!!! Although I loathe dust. I used to “clean” my parents house when I was younger to make extra allowance money. I dusted enough in this lifetime already. Now – the cleaning lady dusts every two weeks – that’s enough for me ;o)
I'm guilty I don't dust. When I do dust I use good old stand by pledge and an old rag.
I think I have every Swiffer product made. I can't live without my Swiffer Vac.
Nope. If I dont touch it you would never know. But once someone touches it the jig is up!I usually just take a babywipe to it
I swiffer! wooo! i love my swiffers!!! I do it on o daily basis..unless I am Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper busy!
